The WEBG and the Vladimirovac Local Community enter their fourth year of cooperation which was characterized by success and the high quality of projects, as was concluded at the presentation of the new Program for Support of the Social Initiatives in this town. For this Local Community the Program earmarked € 10,000.00 in 2016, of the total amount of € 24,000.00 for the whole competition.
The Program for Support of the Social Initiatives confirms the social responsibility of the company and in this way the WEBG also show appreciation to Vladimirovac and the Municipality of Alibunar for years of good cooperation, as was said in the introduction to the presentation, whose aim was to explain the propositions of project competition to the civil associations and other interested participants.
Compared with all other towns, Vladimirovac will receive the highest amount of donation, to which it is entitled. The amount is the highest, but so it will be the impact on the residents during construction, especially because of transport of turbines and all other elements necessary for construction. Education and sport, ecology and protection of environment, supporting endangered groups, culture and tradition, but above all the improvement of infrastructure – all these are desirable topics for the projects which will compete.
This is what was suggested by the WEBG representatives at the public panel organized this week. As an example of the successful infrastructural projects in Vladimirovac were works in four classrooms of the Elementary School, which were being funded two years in row. Vladimirovac and Mramorak are in general good examples of the successful infrastructural projects for which they need help. Actually, as soon as the competition starts Vladimirovac already have ready projects, they are completed in time and with success, so that this year they are expected to prepare best project propositions, was what could be heard at the presentation held in this town.
The present residents were interested to learn how to submit projects i.e. how to prepare them. For such purpose there exists a universal form which contains all basic information, description of activities and an empty space for key explanation. When submitting application it is necessary to explain how the proposed projects can contribute to the Local Community and be of the general interest.
In connection with the question about financial support it was again specified that co-financing is needed as WEBG cannot cover 100 percent of the project cost. This called for further explanation, because those interested wanted to know what happens if an organization has no information whether or when it will receive money from another sponsor. In that case it is necessary to make clear that this means just a part of funding and explain what segment of the project is in question. Double financing as well as a 100 percent financing are not allowed. Good examples of co-financing are the works performed in schoolrooms. Total cost of refurbishing amounted to RSD 520,000.00 and the WEBG invested RSD 400,000.00. The rest was covered by the Alibunar Municipality.
The present residents wanted to know what happened with the projects that require several years to be completed. In that case, they were told, all phases of such a long project should be carefully analyzed so as to find an exactly defined phase which could be completed within the year of competition i.e. by December 31st, 2016, when the reports should be submitted with the copies of receipts and photos illustrating the projects results.
