Investments into wind energy are the Greenfield investments i.e. direct investments beneficial in many ways for the citizens of Serbia. For example, the development and construction of a 100 MW wind park will be accompanied with construction of a 50 km long road and opening of 200 to 300 jobs during the projects realization. The wind potential in Serbia is such this energy source can cover up to 10 per cent of the total energy needs of the country. Such projects will open hundreds new jobs connected with this new market.
Besides benefits in preserving environment, the planet and the land alike, which is mentioned earlier in our articles, the construction of Cibuk wind park will transform the image of the Kovin municipality and its neighboring places – Dolovo, Mramorak, Devojacki Bunar.
Here are some of these benefits:
- The project realization will have a positive effect on the local economy. The local companies will be in advantage in relation to other companies, and this will directly and indirectly stimulate the development of local economy;
- Many jobs will be created during construction of the wind park;
- The Kovin municipality will register plus in its budget through collecting taxes and from a 2 per cent profit from the total annual earnings of the wind park.
The wind park construction includes also the construction of local roads and infrastructure, which will attract other investors to this area.
